An Apology from Emanuel L. Lambert, Jr. - Da' T.R.U.T.H.
Dear Ministry Partners, Co-laborers, Supporters, Brothers/Sisters in Christ & Friends:
In light of a moral indiscretion in my personal life, I will be taking a sabbatical from music ministry and teaching upon fulfilling my current commitments to work closely with my pastor, church and restoration team. I have repented first to God and then to my wife and family. It is my prayer that my family, supporters and the brethren in Christ will collectively be able to forgive me. In the days ahead, my family and I will be taking the appropriate steps necessary to heal and regroup together as a unit. I prayerfully ask that our privacy be respected at this time.
I ask for your forgiveness as I work towards reconciliation. My greatest hope is that my failures and short comings are seen for what they are-MY failings and not a reflection of the God that I proclaim. Despite my falling short, the resurrection and life changing power of the cross remains the same.
While I never imagined myself ever being here, I humbly ask that you lift my family and me up in prayer for the wisdom, healing and restoration we need. I look forward to the day when I will stand before you again, while living a life that reflects the power of the glorious gospel.

CMR's Da' T.R.U.T.H. Statement
Dear brothers and sisters in the faith,
This life is uncertain and refuses to leave us unchallenged. The world we live in overflows with the sad stories of both sinners and unfortunately saints. However, in the most unstable times, we can all be strengthened in this truth—that our God remains unchanged by our challenges, unaffected by our failures, and waits poised to help the repentant and contrite.
It is with tremendous sadness and humble disappointment that Cross Movement Records must inform you regarding the suspension of the promotion and forwarding of the artist, minister, and ministry of Da Truth, aka Emanuel Lambert Jr., due to recent findings of moral failure in his marriage. It is the expressed ambition and demonstrated intent of this label to foster Christian leadership that utilizes the platforms of an artist or musician. While obedience to the word of God is the high standard for all who name the name of Christ, for the Christian leader, the standards and the consequences are even greater.

Da Brat Stays Productive Behind Bars - Plans Inmate Talent Show
Although she's in an ATL prison, serving a three-year sentence for assault, Da Brat is trying to be productive.
The rapper (real name: Shawntae Harris) is reportedly organizing a talent show for her fellow inmates called "Showtime at Alto," named after the prison, Alto Federal State Prison.
You have probably heard by now that Jin, a secular rapper who, in the last decade, had a lot of buzz from winning freestyle battles on BET and ultimately being signed to Rough Ryders, recently released a Christian hip-hop song, "Welcome to the Light Club," on his Myspace page and his YouTube page.
"Welcome to the Light Club" by Jin
The song, rhymed over Kanye West's "Amazing," starts out with Jin reading Matthew 5:14-16, with the words posted on the screen. With this nearly three-minute audio clip, Jin shines light on his new life as a growing Christian to the urban masses. "Jesus is the truth; with Him, freedom can be achieved," Jin proclaims on the song.
